Maybe one of these days I'll even get the "White Wedding" lyric! It is weird, even today at my advanced age, I still occasionally figure out a lyric that I've heard over and over for years, and either had wrong or could never figure out in all this time what they were saying.
If you read this, you deserve a cookie or something. So on Monday when I fired that song up for the first time in over 20 years, THAT'S what came out of my mouth when I was singing along. What the hell does that mean? LOL Apparently it's some combination of "trecherous" and "wretched" or something, but that's what I thought he was saying. I remember singing along to this song and my mom said, "What does he say there?" I told her, "It's such a tretched tretched thing." One line in the chorus he says "Stop this game, it's such a touchy, touchy thing." When this song came out, I may have been about 10 years old. So it started up, and I started singing along. "Stop This Game" is on there, and I hadn't heard that song in YEARS AND YEARS. It's amazing how a memory from childhood can come back, especially when it's attached to music.Īfter seeing CT with DL on Sunday, I went out on Monday AM and bought a Cheap Trick CD. I almost thought Rick was gonna say no to signing this as he told me he hated that photo but then he said anything for a Trick fan!!! Cool guy!!!!! This is a auto pic from Rick taken around the time of the "Woke up with a Monster" tour. The one's Rick gave me are a really rare and hard to find Pearl pick, the ones Rudy gave me are the standard pick from the last couple of years tours. Most of these picks were given to me by Rudy Leiren who at one time was Eddies Guitar tech for a short time and then later Ricks and a couple from Rick himself. I thought you other Trick fanatics would get a kick out of these. I met Rick a different way but you never know when they are coming to your town and there is gonna be a meet n greet. If you are not a fan club member I would recommend it, the band does meet and greets on a regular basis as long as you are a fan club member.
